Glutathione for Longevity and Wellness

Your body produces a powerful Master Antioxidant vital for a healthier and longer life. It’s called Glutathione, or GSH for short. Understanding the role of Glutathione in overall good health and how to increase Glutathione in your body can tremendously impact your well-being now – and in the future.

Longevity and Antioxidants

Longevity is not just about living LONGER; it’s the quality of life while you are living.

According to Dr. Peter Attia, the author of “Outlive: The Science of Art and Longevity,” – longevity is about the length of life coupled with living well, enjoying life, and prolonging vibrant health.

A considerable component of having excellent health for a longer duration is antioxidants which work in the body to balance the stressors that we call free radicals. The list of free radicals is long and includes alcohol, sun damage, environmental toxins, and intense exercise. Antioxidants detoxify our cells and create homeostasis to neutralize these stressors on the body, fighting against free radical damage to cells.

What’s so special about Glutathione?

Glutathione is a Master Antioxidant because not only does it help the body fight against oxidative stress and cleanse harmful substances, but it also plays a role in recycling and regenerating other antioxidants – which increases their effectiveness.

What else? Glutathione works throughout the body and significantly influences overall cellular health. It is a tripeptide molecule formed through a combination of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamine, and glycine. This synthesis generally occurs in the liver but also in other tissues. As the most abundant intracellular antioxidant, Glutathione is present in all tissues and cell types, so it impacts cellular health throughout the body. In comparison, many other antioxidants occur outside of cells, like Vitamin A.

In a study conducted by scientists from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, supplementation of glutathione drastically affected the lifespan of wild-type mice.

This study supplemented a group of mice with Glutathione. Their levels of GSH had been depleted due to “oxidative stress (OxS) and mitochondrial dysfunction contribute to the aging process.” Results showed that mice receiving the Glutathione supplements lived 24% longer than control mice.

Glutathione also impacts the quality of life – with lower oxidative stress, the body has a lower risk of experiencing chronic oxidative-related diseases like:

  • Cardiovascular diseases
  • Neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s)
  • Liver Diseases, by helping to protect the liver from damage caused by alcohol, drugs, and toxins
  • Inflammation-driven illnesses or sicknesses, including COPD and asthma and helps to lessen the effects of autoimmune diseases, diabetes, and skin disorders.

Glutathione for Optimal Health

The excellent news is Glutathione levels that are declining can be increased. Dr. Nayan Patel outlines the various ways to increase Glutathione in The Glutathione Revolution. His 20+ years of studying this Master Antioxidant led to his realization that Glutathione supplements can be significantly impactful, but the delivery is critical. IV supplementation has been shown not to have sustained efficacy over time. Oral Glutathione is not effectively absorbed by the body, with only a fraction of the ingested Glutathione reaching the bloodstream.

This led to Dr. Patel developing a topical delivery system – the Auro GSH™ Antioxidant Delivery System, a patented, first-of-its-kind technology that optimizes antioxidant absorption and efficacy. Auro’s patented Glutaryl is the most robust and effective way to get the most out of this powerful transdermal supplement to improve health and significantly aid in improving energy levels, weight loss, and detox- with just four sprays a day.

In addition to supplementation with Glutaryl – living a “pro-Glutathione” lifestyle helps to improve and strengthen levels of Glutathione in the body; this includes prioritizing moderate exercise and finding ways to reduce stress in your life, as well as the stress from electromagnetic fields (EMFs). It also includes seeking out Glutathione-boosting foods that are fresh, organic, and have a good balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fat.

If you are focused on aging with vitality and optimal health, a Glutathione-boosting lifestyle and Glutaryl are powerful tools to get you there. Start today!
