Customer Spotlight: Melody Guy

Melody Guy has a story to tell. She is a beautiful songwriter, artist, and performer, and her life is truly an expression of her artistic abilities.  Like so many, during Covid, her livelihood was put on hold, she stopped touring the country, and the stress of life led her down a health spiral that her body could not handle.

Solving her health challenges with the help of Master Antioxidant Glutathione has been a life-changing journey. Now, she is feeling revitalized, has more energy, and is happy again, and she is thanking the power of Glutathione.

The Beginning

At the height of 2020, Melody’s body was under major stress. She had unexplained weight gain and bloating, low energy, was in pain, and was just plain miserable. As symptoms accelerated, she knew something was very wrong and eventually ended up in the hospital. That trip to the hospital visit when she finally got some answers – she was dealing with gall bladder sludge, biliary obstruction, and a kidney infection. Her body was toxified. A test of her liver function showed an extremely high level of AST – and it was determined that Melody was suffering from the non-alcoholic fatty liver and Type 2 Diabetes. Also, an MTHFR gene mutation made it very difficult for her body to detox. These genetic predispositions were illuminating – her siblings and dad had similar health struggles, and the puzzle pieces started to come together. 

While finding reasons for her poor health was affirming, it was incredibly frustrating. Finding answers for treatment to rid her system of toxins and get some balance in her body led her to dead ends, and doctors simply weren’t helpful. She tried to doctor herself, purchasing various supplements, anything she could, but still no solutions. Nothing worked. 

Introduction to Glutathione

While visiting her sister Debbie in Oregon, they both went to an Intravenous (IV) Clinic, trying anything they could do to get relief from their chronic conditions. It was then that an IV tech mentioned they should give Glutathione a try. Naturally produced by the body, Glutathione is a powerful and vital antioxidant that fights free radical damage and oxidative stress in the body, which is the source of sickness and disease. Glutathione stores go down when the body is overtaxed with free radicals, leaving the immune system under siege and leading to illness. Her Lightbulb Moment

A quick google search of the world “Glutathione” and Melody found Dr. Nayan Patel’s book the Glutathione Revolution on audible. She had a 3,000-mile drive home to Nashville and listened to the whole book and found that it explained so many health conditions in her family tree.  Dr. Patel explained how Glutathione works to detoxify and balance the body – and what happens with this Master Antioxidant is lacking.
